Operations Unit

The Operations Unit is responsible for the purchasing, maintenance and repairs for all Department buildings, equipment, supplies, automobiles, telephone and mail systems. The Director of Operations supervises the switchboard, reception desk and mail function.

The director of the unit, Bill Masse, handles the purchasing and disbursement of all supplies and office equipment; manages the office’s switchboard and reception staff and mail functions; oversees all repairs and general maintenance to the office’s physical plant and office machinery; oversees the maintenance of the department’s motor vehicles; and handles all of the office’s printing needs.

The Department of Attorney General is subject to the State Procurement Regulations as set forth by the Department of Administration. All major purchases are coordinated by the Department of Administration, Office of Purchases. Further, the Department participates in the numerous Master Price Agreements negotiated by the Department of Administration. These agreements, which cover such items as office supplies, oil, building materials, office equipment, furniture, etc. make up the majority of the purchasing needs of the Department.

All State agencies have limited delegated purchasing authority for "small purchases". This function is handled by the Operations Unit. If you are a vendor seeking the opportunity to provide goods or services to the Department of Attorney General, please contact, in writing:
