The Rhode Island State Police, MetLife Auto & Home, the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the Rhode Island Police Chiefs’ Association have teamed up to support young adults during the upcoming prom and graduation season. The centerpiece of this program is a billboard on Route 95 south near Thurbers Avenue in Providence funded by MetLife Auto & Home. Miniature billboards will also be displayed at prom venues throughout the state.
Speakers included Colonel Brendan P. Doherty, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police; Mr. William Moore, President of MetLife Auto & Home; Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch, Colonel Stephen McCartney, President of the Rhode Island Police Chiefs’ Association; and Gabrielle Abbate, Executive Director of MADD—Rhode Island.
The program encouraged young adults to “Make Good Decisions,” especially during their spring celebrations. We want teens to enjoy their proms and graduation, but do so responsibly.
