On March 4, 2026, Attorney General Neronha published the Office’s Report on Child Sexual Abuse in the Diocese of Providence. The report, which describes the Diocese’s handling of decades of clergy abuse, is the result of a yearslong investigation by the Office of the Attorney General, with assistance from the Rhode Island State Police.

Neronha today announced his office has filed a lawsuit against Quidnessett Country Club for constructing an unpermitted seawall in violation of state law, and defying state regulators by refusing to remove the seawall and restore the coastline to its prior condition.
