Cold Case Unit

The Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General’s Cold Case Unit works with local police departments to investigate and resolve unsolved homicides in the State. The Unit re-examines cases, strives to develop new witnesses and evidence, and uses modern technology to identify those responsible for homicidal violence. The Unit also investigates unidentified remains cases. The Cold Case Unit seeks to provide answers and justice for the victims, their families, and the people of Rhode Island.
